Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. I am starting this to build connections with others while giving a picture of what therapy means to me. Also, I’d like to use this as a way to share what I find to be important factors in creating lives that are worth living.
A little about me…
I graduated from Walla Walla University in 2010 with a Masters in Counseling Psychology degree. I worked with children, adolescents, families, and couples. I completed an internship at Benton-Franklin Juvenile Justice Center and continue to have a passion for working with at-risk youth.
Other areas of focus that I’ve received further training after my Masters degree include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
While my own practice is new (established in February 2016) I have worked in community mental health as a therapist since 2010. It’s been a wonderful experience to learn from various people along the way and I’m very excited to start my own practice and work with people on making a change in their lives.
If you are considering therapy for yourself I encourage you to reach out with any questions you may have.
